Lamb Foggo Urgent Care Centre
The Lamb Foggo Urgent Care Centre was conceived to improve access to care for the community at the east end of Bermuda. It is also intended to serve as a disaster hub in the event that the causeway became impassable or during an emergency at the nearby airport. The design incorporated the client’s requests that the facility be of iconic design which would identify the building as a hospital and that all treatment rooms be visible from a single nurse’s station. The circular plan effectively met both those requests. All the treatment rooms and the waiting areas have calming views that overlook the harbor.
The building was located on the north part of the 2 acre site so as to be clearly seen from the adjacent road and to easily facilitate any future expansion. The project was completed on target and on budget.
