King Edward VII Memorial Hospital Acute Care (KEMH)
The new King Edward VII Memorial Hospital Acute Care Centre is an innovative addition to the existing health care campus. Nursing levels are arranged to allow for maximum natural light in the building based around
A central atrium that illuminates the surgical arrival floor and the 3 levels of nursing above. The ground floor level is a modern emergency center with most up-to-date digital imaging equipment. The second level services the infusion ward and wound care services. The building features solar Photovoltaic panels, patients garden on the 4th level and a Healing Garden surrounding the ground floor areas.
The project is the first of its kind for Bermuda, a Public Private Partnership (P3), opened after 36-month construction period.
